Social inequalities in health, Bicentennial Symposium | 22 January 2020, Paris

Conference jointly organised by the Académie Nationale de Médecine, FEAM and ALLEA

The Conference will take place at the French Académie Nationale de Médecine, 16 rue Bonaparte, 75006, in Paris, on 22 January 2020 (9:00-17:20)

Health inequalities/inequities result from the conditions in which people are born, grow, educate, live, respect and age. The health of migrant people occupies a special place within health inequalities. It depends on the structural and political factors determining migration, the conditions of travel and reception in the countries of destination.

Because social inequalities in health are a major concern in EU countries and in France, the French National Academy of Medicine has convened this Symposium as part of its bicentennial celebration.
