This joint public meeting will be hosted by Ms Vicky Ford MEP and Dr Cristian Busoi MEP at the European Parliament in Brussels. It is organised by FEAM, FENS, Science Europe, Wellcome Trust, AMRC, EARA, EFPIA and EGAN. Its aim is to discuss why, and the ways in which animals are used in scientific, medical and veterinary research in the EU. The importance of the principles of refinement, replacement and reduction (3Rs) and how they are applied to research will also be discussed.
