PERISCOPE Monthly Talks #2: The EU Forecast Hub

In the second episode of PERISCOPE Project Monthly Talks, Helen Johnson looks at the importance of data for forecasting, particularly with the European COVID-19 Forecast Hub. This platform provides short-term forecasts of COVID-19 cases and deaths across Europe and is coordinated by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).

PERISCOPE has recently collaborated with the European Forecast Hub through the University of Pavia, by providing metadata with information on methodology, as well as forecasts for four weeks for EU’s largest countries (France, Italy, Germany and Spain). The plan is to expand this collaboration to other EU countries.
