On 22 November Prof. Ferry Breedveld, President of FEAM, attended the European Hospital & Healthcare Convention (CONVEHO) in Amsterdam. As one of the key annual gatherings for European hospital leaders, the event gathered managers, medical directors, and heads of clinical departments to exchange insights, share strategies, and address pressing challenges facing healthcare systems today.
During the event, Prof. Breedveld delivered a presentation on the critical issue of drug availability in the EU. He highlighted the growing challenges posed by shortages and emphasized the need for coordinated action and innovative approaches to ensure a stable and reliable supply of medicines.
FEAM’s involvement in CONVEHO reflects its ongoing commitment to shaping the future of healthcare. In last year’s edition, held in Brussels, FEAM played a prominent role through the FEAM Forum Annual Lecture delivered by Prof. Stefan Constantinescu. The lecture explored the transformative potential of precision medicine in oncology, highlighting how cutting-edge science can drive improvements in patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
